My First English Area
It's about 30 degrees and we're in the middle of the biggest trailer park I've ever been in. I've already heard that residents of the trailer park had called the police on missionaries multiple times before. They were cussed at, yelled at, and chased out. Our new friend Timothy was searching for his white cat named Cracker. To help him find his cat, we snapped the tabs on chicken soup cans, mimicking the sound of cat food being opened.
Overall my first few experiences in my first English area were pretty great! The main difference has been how receptive people are to hearing about the Book of Mormon specifically. Many more people say that they have already found Jesus, or that they'll stick with the Bible. This has been frustrating, but has also led me to think more about my faith, and how can I answer their questions.
