Hola a todos!
This week we had the really cool opportunity to really appreciate our ward. As my companion and I were leaving Gardner, we knew we would have to leave our beloved area in the hands of two other unknown missionaries. But what made it cool was seeing that we didn't just have to rely on the missionaries, but the members as well. We had been so diligent in working with the members that each of our friends we were teaching knew members in the ward as friends. And we put those members in charge of watching for our friends.
I have so much appreciation for the ward and their love and willingness to accept others even if some were a little different. They welcomed them and invited our friends into the fold.
Another cool experience was inviting our 15-year-old friend to be baptized. He was so fast to accept and has such a strong desire to grow closer to Christ and to Heavenly Father. So many of our other friends have learned so much and it's been so awesome to watch them all grow.
And now I'm in the Santa Fe ward in Kansas City, Missouri. After 9 months of circling around the city, I'm finally heading into the depths. And honestly it has been really great. I have a great companion and we're in a Spanish area too. So I'm really excited to be able to speak so much more Spanish, especially since we're actually in a Spanish ward too!
Hasta luego,
Hermana devenjay
